I have been photographing for 40 years both professionally and just for the love of it. I have a degree in journalism and have worked as a reporter, photographer and photo editor for a newspaper and in the communications department of a non-profit organization. I have also shot the photographs for a nation-wide promotional campaign and had a studio for a while.

I took a twenty five year professional hiatus from photography and worked in the IT field. While there I co-authored three university-level textbooks on computer programming and have taught college-level courses and conducted seminars in the field. When digital photography came along I was ready!

I really enjoy getting to know and photograph people. I believe that everyone I become acquainted with makes my world a little bit bigger. Speaking of world, my next favorite occupant of the viewfinder is the natural world. I love the fine-art that is birthed from those images.
